On this day in history, Lindsay Festa ’05 recorded shutouts exactly four years apart.
In 2003 her 18 saves helped Stony Brook blank Smithtown Christian in a 1-0 victory. Katie Adan scored the game-winner in the 63rd minute off of a pass from Brittany Chandler.
Four years later, she shut out Johns Hopkins University as the starting keeper for Haverford College. After the Black Squirrels took a 1-0 lead in the sixth minute, Festa ensured it was all the offense they would need by stoning 9 shots from the Blue Jays.
