On Saturday, junior Miranda Harrigan finished 14th in a field of 129 runners at the Suffolk Coaches Invitational, obliterating her mark from a year ago in the process.
Last year’s Suffolk County Class D runner-up came through the finish line at Sunken Meadow’s famed Championship Course in a time of 21:26, well over a minute under her time in the same meet last season (22:38) in which she finished in 36th place. Her time would have beaten 57 boys in the Varsity A race.
On the boys’ side, Louis Wang paced the Brook, turning in his best time at the Meadow with a mark of 19:38 to finish in 75th place out of 183. Justin Moreno (110th place/20:54), Josh Lin (116th/21:06), Aidan Harrigan (122nd/21:16), and Steven An (132nd/21:36) also scored for the Brook.
