Over the weekend, the sailing fleet plied the water of Port Jeff Harbor and tied for top honors in the first invitational of the season.

The competition format dictated that combined scores for Division A and B established an overall team score. Stony Brook’s Division A team comprised of Josh Martin (skipper) and Konstantin Sturm (crew) and the Division B team of Kadin Via (skipper) and Isaac Voros (crew) helped the “Sea Bears” tie for the victory amid 10-knot winds and a challenging current. Syosset, Three Village, and Bay Shore participated in the invitational along with three teams from the Brook.
