After leading Trevecca Nazarene University’s men’s soccer team to a season opening win last Friday, Jake Singer ’14 was named the Great Midwestern Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Here is the press release from the G-MAC.
The first two Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Athletes of the Week were introduced on Tuesday following the first games of the season played around the league.
G-MAC Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week were selected by the league following the first competition of the fall starting on Sept. 1. Trevecca Nazarene claimed both offensive and defensive honors following the Trojans’ season-opening win on the road at Alabama-Huntsville.
Jake Singer delivered the game-winning score in a season-opening win down at Alabama-Huntsville, a program that went 10-6 in 2015.
The Trojans did all of their scoring in the first half and Singer provided his goal in the 30th minute of regulation. His first score of the season came on an assist from Jordan Gilmore.
