Jyles Etienne has been lighting up the high jump scene in New York as of late, taking several strong attempts at 7-0 after winning at Saint Anthony's. The junior State Record of 7-2 may be on the mind, but Etienne has to clear the competition first. Expect a close competition over in the pits.

This afternoon at the 49th Annual Glenn D. Loucks Games in White Plains, NY, Jyles Etienne added another title to his growing list of accomplishments. In a field of 30 jumpers, Etienne reigned, earning the victory with a leap of 6′ 6″.

Etienne joins Kevin Lockerbie as the only Loucks Games Champions in Stony Brook history. Lockerbie took the 400 crown in 1977 in a time of 48.5. The Loucks Games are widely regarded as one of the most prestigious high school invitationals in America.
