This weekend, five Bears will travel to Philadelphia to participate in the 122nd running of the Penn Relays, the world’s oldest and largest relay carnival.

Louis Wang, Joel Aduba, Karl Wang, and Alvaro Martinez Torres will be the 60th Stony Brook mile relay team to participate in the Relays since 1927. Additionally, Jyles Etienne will compete in the high jump, becoming just the third Brooker to participate in the Relays as an individual, joining Andy and Laura Whitney.
