On this day five years ago, Alex Van Tuyl ’08, earned a bronze medal for Gettysburg University in the high jump at the Centennial Conference Indoor Championships.
The former Bear took 3rd place in the meet with a jump of 4′ 11.75″. That same day she also earned a 4th place finish in the triple jump, hopping, skipping, and jumping a distance of 30′ 10.25″.
That spring Van Tuyl would also defend her outdoor heptathlon title with 3,843 points.
