Grapplers Floor St. Joseph’s

This morning, in a tri-match in Swanson Gymnasium, the wrestling team rolled Saint Joseph by-the-Sea, 54-24.

The Bears benefited from seven forfeit victories in weight classes that the Vikings could not fill. Kyle Broomes earned the first of three pins in the match for the Bears, taking the 145-lbs bout in 1:30.

Jake Tutuska (152 lbs) followed with the fastest pin of the day, needing just 31 seconds to put his Viking opponent on his back. Tom Hull (170 lbs) secured the third pin of the match for the Brook in 1:42.

In the second team match of the day, the Bears fell to a talented Brentwood squad, but there were several bright spots for the Blue and White. Broomes and Tutuska earned their second pins of the day in 3:47 and 1:15, respectively, and Harry Hou won his 195-lbs match, 13-3.
