On Wednesday, the boys’ swim team held its first home meet since 2004. Though the Bears fell to Central Islip, eighth-grader Chris Stange provided several highlights.
The 14-year-old began his day by cruising to a 16-second victory in the 200 individual medley in a time of 2:16.63. Two events later he took 1st in the 100 butterfly, overcoming an eight-second deficit at the halfway split to claim the top spot in a time of 59.67.
Stange and the Bears will hit the water again on Jan. 6 at home vs. Deer Park.
