On this day 13 years ago, the wrestling team took home 1st place in the Lexington Tournament held in New York City.

The Brook emerged the victors out of the 10-team tournament thanks to the performances of three individual champions and eight medalists.

The squad would finish with a winning league record, due in large part to the efforts of Suffolk County Championship qualifiers Joe Maggio (103 lbs), Dennis Valet (145 lbs), Scott Heinze (160 lbs), and Mark Paige (171 lbs). Heinze would advance to the County Semifinals and garner All-County recognition.
