On Sunday, Shane Kelly ’11 scored a try for the Malone Rugby Football Club, but the Red Sox ultimately fell to Queens University, 18-7, in Belfast.

Queens held a 6-0 lead after 15 minutes, but a successful try by Kelly gave Malone a slim 7-6 margin. Unfortunately, it would be their only points of the day as they fell at their home field on Cregagh Road.

Malone is currently in a tie for second place in the Ulster Bank League with Naas (County Kildare, Ireland) and is just a point behind Banbridge (County Down, United Kingdom).
