After wading through a five-game losing streak, the Stony Brook University football team has ridden the legs of Don Liotine ’13 to two straight victories.
Last week, Liotine’s two touchdowns and 204 rushing yards led the Seawolves to a 14-9 win over Howard University. Today, Liotine gained 114 yards on 29 carries to help SBU defeat Rhode Island University, 19-7 and improve to 4-5 on the season. His 121 all-purpose yards led the team.
Liotine and the Seawolves finish up the regular season next week at home vs. rival Albany.
We ran the heck out of the ball in the second half and we needed too. In the fourth quarter we had the wind against us and the kids up front really did a good job. Conor (Bednarski) did a good job running the show and Donnie (Liotine) did a good job running the ball.~ Head Coach Chuck Priore
