On this day 87 years ago, the football team beat Riverdale, 6-0, to improve to 2-0 on the season.
After defeating Valley Stream 6-0 in the season opener, the Blue and White defense continued to shine during a season in which they would record five shutouts.
The lone score of the game came when Eldyn Austin blocked a Riverdale punt, recovered it, and ran 30 yards for the touchdown. From there the defense ensured Austin’s score would be enough.
