On a rainy evening at LaValle Stadium, Don Liotine ’13 and the Stony Brook University football team cruised past Central Connecticut State, 38-9.
Liotine finished with 59 rushing yards on 9 carries for an average of 6.6 yards per carry, the highest of the night for either squad. His 28-yard run in the fourth quarter was also the second-longest run of the game behind teammate Stacey Bedell’s 30-yard scamper. Liotine and the rest of the Seawolves’ rushing corps handily won the ground battle, out-gaining the Blue Devils, 345-27.
Stony Brook is back in action next Saturday when they host the University of New Hampshire.
