On this day six years ago, Peter Carmel ’07 recorded his first collegiate shutout in a 3-0 victory over Hunter College.

Carmel’s three saves allowed New Paltz to blank the Hawks, a 2008 NCAA Tournament team, and improve to 2-0-1 on the season.

Carmel would finish the season with a .726 save percentage and a 1.78 goals against average.
