Today, in a scrimmage with Stanford University, Rod Odom ’09 scored 11 points, including three 3-pointers to help Virtus Bologna earn a 75-63 victory over the Cardinal.
Stanford held an 18-14 lead early in the second quarter when play was suspended following a backboard-shattering dunk from one of Odom’s teammates. Following a 15-minute trip to a different venue in Bologna, Stanford extended its lead to 38-27 at the halftime break.
In need of a comeback, Virtus erupted for 27 points in the third quarter to take a 54-50 lead that they would not relinquish.
