On Thursday, the girls’ badminton team won their last match of the season with a 5-4 victory over Lindenhurst.

Early in the match, things did not look promising for the Bears. Down 0-3 after the first three singles matches, the girls battled back to tie after Julie Wu (11-2, 11-5), Lily Ho (11-3, 11-5), and Lisa Ho (11-3, 11-4) won their matches in straight sets.

After the Bulldogs took the first doubles match, Angela Wong and Vivian Yao tied the match again, winning their doubles match 15-13, 10-15, 15-9. The match came down to a showdown at third doubles and Kelly Yu and Jessie Xiao won a thrilling three-set match, 15-10, 6-15, 15-13.
