Yesterday afternoon, the University of Miami football team had their first intrasquad scrimmage of the season. It was a beautiful day for football in Coral Gables as 82-degree temperatures radiated down from partly sunny skies.
Jerome Washington ’12 caught two passes for the Canes, the first of which on a low pass away from his body which he corralled despite having a defender draped on him. The second he snared in traffic and secured on the way down despite taking a hit.
Washington was optimistic after his first live action saying, “I think it went well. I still have more stuff to get better at, but it was a good start.”
Miami’s next scrimmage will take place on March 21.
