As the playoffs loom for the boys’ basketball team, the accolades have rolled in.
Both Robbie Colarusso and Luke Meyer were unanimously named to the All-Conference team. Stony Brook and Bridgehampton, the state’s #1 ranked Class D school, were the only two teams to land a pair of players on the list.
Jyles Etienne was named to the All-League team and was honored as the League VIII Rookie of the Year, following in the footsteps of Andrew Daniel ’14 who won the award in 2013. Erik Holvik was named to the Academic All-County team for his performance on the court and in the classroom this season.
On the girls’ side, Annie Skorobohaty, the Bears’ most potent scoring threat, earned All-League recognition.
The boys have earned the #1 seed in the Class C playoffs and will face off against the winner of Southold/Pierson in the County Championship on February 16 at William Floyd High School at 3:00pm.
