This evening, Eastern University topped Wilkes University, 81-52, thanks in part to the hot shooting of Emily Carmel ’13.

The sophomore connected on 4-of-5 shots from the field, including 3-of-4 from behind the arc, to finish as the team’s second-highest scorer with 11 points. She drained back-to-back 3-pointers in the opening six minutes of the game to help bury the Colonels early.

Carmel and the Eagles will next face FDU-Florham on Saturday.
