With two seconds remaining in the game and Gordon College trailing by one against Western New England College, Richie Armand ’12 had yet to attempt a field goal.

He saved his one attempt for a heroic moment, sinking a 25-footer with 2.1 seconds left to cap an improbable 16-point second half comeback for the Scots in a 59-57 win. Gordon trailed for 37 of the game’s 40 minutes, but were able to steal the victory thanks to Armand’s dagger. Armand’s trifecta gave Gordon its first advantage since they led 12-10 in the first half.

The former Bear finished with 5 points and 3 assists. He’ll take the floor again on Thursday night at Nichols College.
