On this day 58 years ago, the wrestling team trounced their old rival, Poly Prep, by a score of 33-13.

Les Sogorka, who later that season would win his second of three consecutive Ivy League championships, edged his man, 5-4, to put the Brookers on the board first. After the Blue and White dropped the second match, they began to roll with consecutive pins by Craig Wright, John Bonard, and Jim Gross. Bonard had the fastest pin of the day, needing just 1:34 to beat his man. After Poly pinned back, Alex Cuthbert pinned his opponent in 1:59. Wayne Belyea closed out the scoring for the Brook with a pin in 2:49.
