On this day 84 years ago, the basketball team won their seventh straight game with a 49-13 victory over Collegiate. The Blue and White led 18-3 at the half and didn’t let up in a decisive win.
Bob Glover single-handedly outscored Collegiate with 20 points while Roddy Myers added 8. The stingy Blue and White defense allowed just three field goals in the game.
The 1930-31 team would go on to finish 17-1 in one of the great seasons in Stony Brook basketball history.
