In the New York State Cross Country Championship, held in Canton this morning, Miranda Harrigan and Jacob Brummeler represented the Bears in a field of talented runners.

Harrigan closed an impressive freshman campaign, finishing in 41st place out of 118 runners in a time of 21:31 and edging a rival from Shelter Island by 0.5 seconds in the process. Her time placed her seventh among freshmen in the field.

In the boys’ race, Jacob Brummeler capped a great career for the Blue and White by finishing 42nd in 18:02, the second-highest finish among Section XI runners.
