The Adelphi University women’s soccer team won their third straight game and improved to 10-4-1 on the season, thanks to a goal from Donna Liotine ’11.
The senior captain scored her fourth goal of the year–second-most on the team–on a penalty kick in the 38th minute to lead the Panthers to the 1-0 victory over Merrimack College. The goal was her fourth penalty kick score of the season, the most of any player in the Northeast-10 Conference, a full two goals ahead of Pace University’s Jillian Ferro.
Liotine and the Panthers continue their march toward the playoffs on Wednesday in a match-up with American International University.
