With Wes Woodley ’11 between the posts, the North Park University men’s soccer team could be on their way to an historic season.

In a 1-0 victory over Millikin University yesterday, the Vikings improved to 9-1 thanks to three saves from Woodley in his third consecutive shutout. The Vikings, currently ranked 16th in Division III, are off to their best start since 2006, the year they capped a three-peat of CCIW regular season championships.

Woodley is currently ranked second in the conference in goals against average (0.61), second in save percentage (.838), fifth in saves (31), and fourth in shutouts (4).

The Vikings return to the pitch on Wednesday night at home vs. the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
