On this day 15 years ago, the girl’s soccer team used a second half offensive barrage to bury Mercy, 6-0.

After Christine Avitable put the Bears ahead 1-0 in the first half, the girls unloaded five goals over the final forty minutes to dispatch the Monarchs on Fitch Field. Carolyn Gilroy led the way with 3 goals and an assist while Alyssa Kreines and Jacqi Maggio completed the scoring. Six different players assisted on the goals as Avitable, Gilroy, Maggio, Kristiann Sawyer, Brooke Meserole, and Kari Sloan provided a balanced attack.
