660 minutes.
That’s a lot of time. In that duration you could sit through four-and-a-half physics labs, do your workjob 44 times, and drive one way to Ohio and give Mr. Brenneman a bro hug. Or, if you’re the Adelphi University women’s soccer team, you could hold your opponents scoreless for the first seven games of the season.
The Panthers improved to 6-0-1, and 3-0-1 on the road, today with a 2-0 victory over Saint Michael’s College, thanks in part to Donna Liotine ’11. Liotine was credited with the game-winning assist in the 68th minute when her blast ricocheted off the crossbar directly to teammate Jeanine Nunez who put it away for the score. Adelphi buried the Purple Knights with a second goal less than two minutes later.
Liotine and Adelphi return to the home turf this Wednesday for a conference match-up with Assumption College.
