On this day six years ago, the girls’ cross country team earned a narrow 28-29 victory over Pierson/Bridgehampton. Alexis Fernandez won the race for the Bears, covering the 2.6-mile course at Indian Island in 17:13.

The girls would go on to win the League Championship that season, finishing a perfect 6-0 and setting a school record for wins in a season.
