Karina Scavo ’09 had a very productive week in leading the Gordon College women’s soccer team to two conference wins. The first came on Wednesday against Colby-Sawyer College when the junior midfielder broke a 0-0 tie on a rocket from 15 yards out in the 76th minute. The Fighting Scots went on to win the match, 2-1.
Yesterday afternoon Scavo got off to a quick start against the Wentworth Institute of Technology, finding the top right corner of the net just 5:55 into the match. It would be the only offense Gordon would need as they dispatched the Leopards, 4-0, to improve to 3-1 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference, moving them into a tie for second place.
