Michelle Hennessy ’11 helped the Adelphi University women’s soccer team improve to 4-3 (3-3) in a 2-0 victory at Le Moyne College this afternoon. The Panthers were clinging to a 1-0 lead in the 64th minute when Hennessy thrust a dagger into the Dolphins’ hearts with a shot from eight yards that ricocheted off the left post and into the net.

Though Hennessy was no stranger to scoring while at Stony Brook, the goal was the first of her collegiate career. Donna Liotine ’11 had a shot in the contest and helped the Panther defense hold Le Moyne to just five shots as Adelphi recorded its second shutout of the season.
