Newsday‘s girls’ soccer preview came off the presses this morning and they picked The Bears to contend for the Suffolk County Class C title along with familiar foes Pierson/Bridgehampton and Port Jefferson. Here is what they had to say:
Stony Brook looks to rebuild around Kelsey Wentling and Madison Rylands. Pierson/Bridgehampton has freshman Zoe Diskin patrolling the midfield and Julia Schiavoni in goal. Port Jefferson has some up-and-coming sophomores, including Mairead Swords and Olivia Racanelli.
