On this day 53 years ago, Stony Brook Hall of Famer Allan Malachuk earned his second consecutive Ivy League Player of the Year Award. The trophy capped a season in which Malachuk set the single game scoring record with 40 points against Friends Academy on December 17 as well as the season scoring record, netting 339 during his senior campaign.
