In the latest New York State Sportswriters Association poll, our girls’ basketball team rose to #7 on the list after their County Championship victory over Pierson/Bridgehampton. The girls’ next contest is against the winner of Tri-Valley (Section 9) and Haldane (Section 1) on Friday at SUNY-New Paltz @ 5:00pm.
The game between Tri-Valley and Haldane was scheduled for today, but due to the threat of snow in Sullivan County the game was postponed until tomorrow at 4:30pm. This means the winner of the contest will have to play on back-to-back days which may help our girls who will have two days of rest before the Regional Final match-up. Friends Academy, who the girls defeated in the Long Island Championship on Tuesday, was ranked 20th.
