Odom a Spark But Vanderbilt Falls to Gators

Rod Odom ’09 scored 10 points in 26 minutes in Vanderbilt University’s final regular season contest of the season, but his spark off the bench was not enough as the #21 Commodores fell to #14 University of Florida yesterday afternoon, 86-76. Odom was one of four Commodores to finish in double figures as he connected on 4-of-7 field goals to go along with 5 rebounds. Vanderbilt finishes the season 21-9 overall and 9-7 in Southeastern Conference play. Their next match-up comes in the SEC tournament, beginning on March 20, where they will garner a #3 or #4 seed depending on the result from Kentucky vs. Tennessee this afternoon.

The Commodores had wiped away a 14-point deficit behind a spirited 16-6 run and strong second-half play from [Josh] Jenkins and Rod Odom.
