On this day 36 years ago, the boys’ basketball team felled their former Ivy League foe, Poly Prep, 55-48 in Swanson Gymnasium. All-County standout Jerry Britton got off to a quick start, scoring 14 first half points to help the Shrikes build a 28-21 halftime lead. Britton finished with a game-high 24 points and Tony Fort added 19.
