The boys’ basketball team, coming off 31 and 28-point victories over the Ross School and Port Jeff to cement their place as #2 in League VIII, were one of just 18 teams named by Newsday as the top teams in Suffolk County. The boys, alongside 9th-ranked Greenport, were the only two teams mentioned from either League VII or VIII.

The Bears’ next matchup is tomorrow and will send them on their lengthiest road trip of the year to Shelter Island @ 6:15pm, barring any cancellations from snowfall.
