On this day seven years ago…

In one of coach Mike Hickey’s most satisfying victories, the boys’ basketball team overcame a number of obstacles to earn a 64-44 victory over Babylon. It was a game that the Bears did not want to play.

The night before, the Brook had suffered a stunning 42-44 loss at Mattituck in the final seconds, then were forced to travel to the Panthers for an 11:00am game the next morning. A team that should have been tired and lackluster was spirited and aggressive and pulled out an important victory against a solid Babylon team to even their League VII record at 1-1.
