Top-ranked Amherst College improved to 11-0 and extended their program-record home winning streak to 35 this evening behind the hot shooting of Kristyn Dunleavy ’07. Dunleavy was the leading scorer for the Lord Jeffs, netting 13 points in a 69-49 win over Springfield College. The former Bear was 4-for-7 from the field and drilled two 3-pointers at critical times to stem the Pride.

Amherst got off to its slowest start of the season, scoring just one basket in the first four and a half minutes. Dunleavy and junior Lem Atanga McCormick came off the bench to provide a spark, though, hitting back-to-back three-pointers for the Jeffs.
