On this day 51 years ago…

Robin Lingle continued a peerless senior cross country season by taking 1st place in a dual meet against the West Point Plebes. While the team fell 29-20, Lingle stayed undefeated on the year as he dusted the cadets. The following year Lingle brought his brilliance to the West Point harriers, this time as a member of the Academy’s team.
