Just nine days after falling to Longwood 2.5-6.5, the golf team defeated the Lions, 8.5-0.5, yesterday on a balmy afternoon at Stonebridge Country Club. Tyler Abrahamsen was once again the catalyst in the #1 position, shooting a 1-over 36 to tie Longwood’s best player. The remaining four players defeated their opponents, and helped outshoot Longwood as a team 204-218, besting their previous low score of the year by seven strokes. Ben Pirro (43), Will McEvoy (39), Matias Ramos (42), Michael Worth (44), and Chris Damianos (47) rounded out the scoring for the Brook.
It was a true David and Goliath battle as our young team felled a school with a population of 4,000 students. The win helps the Bears improve to 4-7 on the season in the always difficult League VI.
