Mark Twain once said, “Golf is a good walk spoiled.” That very well may have been the sentiment for Mt. Sinai yesterday afternoon after the Bears felled them, 8.5-.5, to improve to 3-4 on the season. Sophomore captain Tyler Abrahamsen was once again the leader for the Brook, stroking a 2-over 37. Freshman Will McEvoy played well in the second spot, shooting a 38 to master his opponent.
Each of Stony Brook’s six starters shot under 50 and as coach Mike Hickey alluded, “That’s good anywhere and at a course as tough as Stonebridge that’s excellent.” The Bears are currently in a three-way tie for 4th in League VI with Port Jeff and Rocky Point.
