One week after defeating Poly Prep for the fifth straight time, 18-37, the cross country team took on Ivy League rival Horace Mann at the world famous Van Cortlandt Park in New York City. Captain Roger Davenport, the Blue and White’s finest harrier, lost his shoe in the opening half mile of the race, yet still came in 1st place, leading the Brook to a 15-40 triumph.
