In 1941 Stony Brook’s rifle team, led their coach Samuel D’Amico, completed an undefeated season against opponents from all across America. Motley Morehead, Phil Ahrenhold, Jr., Raphael Coonrad, and Paul Stewart led the team to victories over teams from four different states.
