Emil Vaughn defends in the Regional Final

On Friday afternoon the boys’ basketball team will face off against Moravia (Section IV) in the first New York State semifinal game in program history. The winner will earn a spot in Saturday night’s State Championship.

Moravia

Moravia Blue Devils Profile

  • Record: 20-4
  • The Blue Devils, currently ranked #3 on the NYSSWA poll, made the quarterfinals with a 66-49 victory over Cooperstown after trailing 23-2 in the first quarter.
  • Moravia has made four trips to the Final Four since 2010, but has never won the state title. They are the only team returning from last season’s final four.
  • The Bears have never played Moravia.

  • The Bears advanced to the State Semifinals after topping Millbrook (Section IX), 45-27, in the Regional Final last Saturday.
  • This is the Bears’ 1st trip to the New York State Final Four in 44 seasons competing in the NYSPHSAA.
