The boys before their 7-0 win at Greenport

Girls’ Tennis

  • Sadhana Sridhar won the Division III Singles Championship on Tuesday in a dominant 6-2, 6-1 performance. She is the Bears’ 1st singles champ since Tylah Gantt in 2011.
  • On Wednesday, Sridhar kept her regular season singles record unblemished with a 4-6, 6-0, 7-5 win over Rachel Collins of Port Jeff.

Boys’ Soccer

  • On Wednesday the Bears mauled Port Jeff 6-0 to win their 4th in a row and move within one win of qualifying for the playoffs.
  • The Bears’ roared into the playoffs on Friday night with a 7-0 victory over Greenport. This is the first time since 2010 the boys will be a part of the knockout round. Khendrick Beausoleil led the way with a hat trick.

Girls’ Soccer

  • After a season-high 18 saves vs. Port Jefferson on Tuesday, Fiona Farrell’s saves total rose to 104 on the season, leaving her tied for 8th place on Long Island.

Boys’ Cross Country

  • On Tuesday the Bears topped Pierson 23-35. Lucas Otero-Novas Gomez took first for the Brook.

Sailing

  • Kimberly Cataudella ’16 wrote a guest post, giving us an update on how the sail team is progressing.

  • Jake Singer ’14 scored his second goal of the season in Trevecca Nazarene University’s 3-1 loss to Cedarville on Saturday.
  • Former Bears were 4-5 on the week and are 34-36-6 on the year.

Where we give the animal kingdom equivalent of a shout out.

After beginning the season with an 0-3 record, the boys’ soccer team reeled off 5 straight victories to earn their first postseason berth since 2010. The perseverance and belief this group has shown is what being a Bear is all about. Well done, boys!
