On this day 77 years ago, the football team shut out Babylon, 21-0, behind two touchdowns from Hank Neber. The strong back put the Brook ahead 7-0 early in the first quarter, then scored again to open the second as the Blue and White took a commanding 13-0 lead. By the season’s end, Neber would become the highest scoring back on Long Island in 1937.

In the third quarter, Lee Redard reeled off the longest scoring play of the day, maneuvering around the right end and down the field for the score. Bill Klein capped off the scoring later in the quarter when he tackled a Babylon player behind his own goal line for the safety. With the victory, Coach Ruffner’s boys improved to 3-1-1.
