Yesterday afternoon, the wrestling team defeated Southampton, 46-39, to wrap up their dual meet season. The win was highlighted by Wyatt Piazza’s pin in 4:05 in the 140-pound class, Robert Hitzig’s 10-0 win in the 160-pound class, and six Southampton forfeits.

Let’s not forget Hunter Hulse at 96 lbs who lost only 1 league match at his weight. Hunter took 2nd in the Rick Herrmann Tournament in Bellport against such heavy hitters as Comsewogue, Hauppauge and Sachem! Only an 8th grader Hunter is seeded 3rd in the County at 96 lbs!

Oh we haven’t forgotten about him! He wasn’t mentioned since he had a forfeit in the Southampton match, but we’ll be keeping a close eye on him in Counties. Great season so far…
